Welcome to our peaceful Montana bed & breakfast, a favorite for travelers seeking a beautiful, natural destination. Going into the green, lush forests you will begin to feel a new connection with nature as you approach Bear Spirit Lodge Bed and Breakfast in the foothills of the magnificent Mission Mountains of Western Montana.

Come experience the beauty of the majestic Mission Mountains, north of Missoula and south of Flathead Lake, near St. Ignatius, Montana. Share the 2-story cedar home, birds, berries, and bears, as well as the humor and stories with the co-owners of the bed and breakfast, Ann and Great Bear, teachers and global travelers to over 45 countries and 49 U.S. states.

Nestled in the Missions on 10 secluded acres 5 miles east of Highway 93 North, you can relax in a setting of tranquility and awesome beauty of Montana's own version of the Himalayan Mountains.  Nature is abundant, and the flowers and rainbows are so colorful that you may even want to take a nature hike with Great Bear & Ann to learn about the local flora and fauna.

The interior of the Lodge is a comfortable, welcoming setting decorated with many interesting antiques and pieces of art and folk culture from around the world.  Enjoy a full breakfast accented by huckleberries, and your private "Great Bear" bedroom or "Santa Fe" décor bedroom with private bathrooms.  If you want a native experience in the summer, you may want to sleep in the large comfortable tipi with queen-size sleeping accommodations.

Our living room is a comfortable place to read, rest, watch a movie, and visit. A large deck outside the living room is the perfect place to relax, read, and soak in the outdoor hot tub. In the front yard, the little pond with a small waterfall and fountain adds the melodic gurgling sounds of moving water, which calm the soul. The setting is ideal for a small wedding, a getaway from the stresses of the big city, or just to look through your binoculars at the red-tailed hawks and bald eagles flying overhead.  Come see us soon!
